SQUARE CANDY DESIGN

About Square Candy

There are a few of the wonderous rooms from Rolad Dahl's classic children's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that didn't make it into either the 1971 or 2005 movie versions, and the room labeled "SQUARE SWEETS THAT LOOK ROUND" is one of them. Wonka is particularly proud of his little creations, which turn out to be square candies with little eyes "looking ’round".

So how does this little side story from a children's book relate to digital design? Any digital art displayed on a screen is just a series of tiny little square pixels of light that collectively form a photograph, a piece of art, a word - anything you can dream up. Making circles out of many little squares is the essence of digital art.

The Wonka story also brings to mind another idea that Square Candy is dedicated to: simple solutions to seemingly impossible problems. Square candy that looks round? That's impossible! Turns out the solution is simple. (And, yes, a very bad pun!)

So, if you have a seemingly impossible problem that needs an website or digital design solution, give us a shout. We work with individuals and companies of all sizes to come up with solutions that will fit your budget.
